It's the end of August when gardens are looking their best in our climate so we decided to visit some new gardens we had not seen before.
The owner had moved in three years ago and had accomplished planting a garden well worth seeing.
The owner built this shed around an old mango tree so that they could eat and relax outside on hot summer days. It's cooler under the tree which has dense foliage.
I really enjoyed this garden and was amazed at how much had been accomplished.
These days, most Aussie gardeners concentrate on local indigenous plants or those from Southeast Asia. This garden was more traditional.
My mother loved to grow daisies.
This was my favourite.
The last house that we visited.
We had a long conversation on the verandah with the lady in the jacket. She volunteers at the Cistern Chapel in the Town Hall and has the title 'Flusher Usher'.
