Arkara Lagoons

My sister Clare and her husband  Ric, have flown up from Melbourne to visit for a few days, hoping to go to this year's Open Gardens in Maryborough. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled this year.

Instead, we went to the nearby Arkarra Lagoons. You can see the lagoon from this Google Map.

Cafe which helps support the garden.

There are numerous covered tables.

Well!!

A bridge leads to the main lagoon.

The water is covered by this ultra bright green algae.

These are very common in our region.

I don't think the fountain in Geneva is too worried by this.

Numerous ducks floating around.

Another beautiful blue sky day in Hervey Bay. It's such a lovely time of year here.

Spring will be with us soon and the local Ibis were out in force preparing their nests. There are probably a dozen nests in this tree alone.
