We set off again in the late afternoon and headed north west.
The scenery just doesn't stop.
We were followed by some harbour porpoises.
This boat is probably a catamaran withe the cut off nose.
Some green pine trees.
Fish farm with very fresh water.
We were passing by the Island of Kagen.
At the southern tip of Kagen is a very old trading store that was fortunately spared by the Germans in WWII.
A small crowd gathered to wave to us. We waved back.
They even set off a firework.
They must dry fish here.
And so we continued on as the sun set.
We met another Hurtigruten ship, the Nordkapp but it did not take the same route we had come from.
I asked the tour director why Norway was installing windmills when they had so much cheap hydroelectric power. The power the windmills produce is all fed into the national and European grid and Norway can make money this way and help make more clean energy.
And so day 2 came to a close. Time seems to go very slowly on the ship and we realized we were very relaxed. However it was 10 pm and time for bed. All that sea air makes you tired.
