The Mackintosh House at the Huntarian Art Gallery

Some of you may know that Marianne graduated in Art History and Interior Design. She was very keen to visit this place so we hopped off the bus. I had never heard of it.

It's across the street from the University of Glasgow.

Entrance to the University.

One of the doors at the entrance to the art gallery which was featuring portraits.

However, the big feature is the Mackintosh House exhibit. It features rooms from a house lived in by Charles Rennie and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh. It's quite something.

Marianne noticed immediately that somebody had placed a hot pot on the table.

Old light switch.

You go up these stairs.

The upper rooms are so light and bright compared to the normal dark Victorian home.

This piece of furniture is incredibly valuable.

The guide explained how the light coming through the purple glass would make patterns on the opposite wall.

Does it remind you of Frank Lloyd Wright?

My new Pixel 7a did a wonderful job. The photos required editing but it did not take long.
