Evening walk in Sitges

It only took a bit over an hour to drive to Sitges. Spain has improved its road system tremendously so it's easy to get from a to b.

The hotel where we are staying. Parking is scarce and expensive in Sitges so we are paying 20 euro a day to park under the hotel.

It does not meet Aussie standards.

The hotel is opposite the beach.

Promenade.

The waves remind me of the waves at our beach. We will walk to the museum at the end of the beach.

A rice soup with cuttlefish and other seafood that we shared. It was delicious.

The cuttlefish are similar to prawns but with more shell and internal bone. However, their taste infuses into the soupy rice mix very well. I am going to try to recreate the dish.

After dinner we walked along a street towards the former hotel where we met. It's at the end on the left with a red sign above a blue interior. The room above the red sign was a lounge with a TV showing World Cup soccer. Marianne was the only person in there who spoke English.

The hotel was the cheapest in town.

The street names.

By 1980, it was no longer a hotel.
