We were up early to catch the 7:30 bus to the ferry which would take us close to Vancouver. Our train to Toronto would leave at 3pm and we did not want to miss it.
You should notice that the first half of the ferry ride passes close to several islands.
The BC Connector bus is owned by the Ferry company so the bus gets priority both while loading and unloading.
Nearby islands.
We bought breakfast onboard like everybody else. Coffee and a muffin.
It was a beautiful day for a ferry ride.
It was a bit chilly outside.
Another ferry.
Proudly Canadian.
About to enter a narrow channel.
Entering the final channel.
Another ferry about our size. These ferries carry semi-trailers as well as cars and buses.
Leaving the channel.
The doors opened soon after.
This was a much better scenic experience than the Seattle to Victoria ferry. By the way, our bus driver provided a wonderful commentary as we entered Vancouver and passed through several districts. Eventually we reached the train station where we would catch our train to Toronto.
