We had to get up early to catch the ferry at 7:30 am. There is only one ferry each day.
The route.
The catamaran ferry to the right.
Just prior to boarding the ferry.
The lowest fare is over $100 one way, but the boat appeared to be full.
We set off on time for the three-hour journey.
There are no closeup photos from this ferry. Any significant object is miles away.
A huge container ship.
Port Townsend in the distance. I stayed there back in 1998 and quite liked the place,
Fortunately, it was a lovely day and the water in Puget Sound was flat. The crossing can be quite rough at times.
Finally, we arrived in Victoria, The rules had changed the day we arrived so we did not have to use the dreaded ArriveCan app and show proof of Covid vaccinations. The immigration lady just looked at our passports and waved us through.
