Victoria Harbour

After we settled into our Dys Inn hotel which is right across the street from the ferry terminal and harbour, we decided to go for a walk.

A wide walkway circles the main harbour area.

The fancy Hotel Fairmont Empress.

Flowers everywhere.

This is a whale watching area. Prices are considerably higher than in Hervey Bay.

Just add water.

We had walked through a lovely park beside the Empress.

War Memorial.

Parliament House (Legislative Assembly). Victoria is the capital of British Columbia.

A Redwood tree.

It's quite tall.

Naturally, there had to be a statue of Queen Victoria.

One of a couple of totem poles.

The horse and carts are continually trundling past our hotel. The drivers appear to be all women.

Seafood chowder at the hotel restaurant. This photo is to remind me to make some when we get home.

Mexican tortilla.

After lunch, I had not one, but two long naps.
