Toogum and Burrum Heads

Now we are getting in to the really lesser known Australia. Toogum and Burrum Heads lie just to the north of Hervey Bay and are very small. In fifty year's time, they will have skyscrapers.

The sea at Toogum. This is how much of the Australian seaside used to be.

There are still some of the old cheap houses, shacks and of course, some of the more elegant houses.

Burrum Heads is a little larger and is now prospering. At one time, the tiny town was famous for its Anti Progress Association, which put the little town on the nation's radar, which was probably part of the plan.

The Burrum River. I came up here out of curiosity, but I wouldn't want to live here. It's just too quiet.
