A walk from Selcuk to Ephesus

Rather than take a bus or taxi, I decided to walk the three miles or so.

My hotel is a kilometer from the station and it is an easy walkwalk down the hill.

Remains of a Byzantine aquaduct.

Ramp to tunnel under the railway line.

Catty-watty's cousin guards the ramp. There seem to be a lot of cats in Turkey.

You don't see something like this in the center of most roundabouts.

.

I suspect this is where the market is held.

Outside Selcuk on the way to Ephesus.

I detoured to see the Temple of Artimis.

To be honest, it's not that impressive.

Basilica of St Peter on the hill overlooking Selcuk.

This dog wagged it's tail and guided me to the entrance. Truly!
